The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury, Friday, October 31, 2025 at the age of 92 years. Husband of the late Thérèse Chrétien (née Désormiers) (2018). Son of the late Rhéal and late Irène (née St-Aubin) Chrétien. Loving father of Monique Emond (Richard), Ronald (Nicole), Nicole Brosseau (Donald) and Louis (Mary). Cherished grandfather of Luke (Ingrid), Robert (Jamie), Natalie, Juliane (Jamie), Alain (Mélanie), Sylvie (Scott), Makenna (Nicholas) and great-grandfather of Abella, Amélia, Liliane, Aurélie, Alec and Edouard. Dear brother of Jean-Claude (Georgette) and Elizabeth Furchner (Rod). Predeceased by his other siblings: Raymond (late Anita), Robert (late Viviane), Anita Tessier (late Roger) and Gérald (Elva). Dear brother-in-law of Françoise Gauthier (late Léo), Gérard (late Pauline) (Ginette) and Victor (Hélène). Predeceased by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Marie Crispin (late Gérald), Georgette Rivard (late Sylvestre), Florian (late Hélène), Aurèle (Gilberte), Jules (late Gabrielle), Marie Reine Lafrenière (late Robert), Grégoire (late Lucille), André (Simone) and Jacqueline Levac (late Fernand). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A gracious thank you to all the staff at Pioneer Manor (Cedar Place) for the compassion and care provided to Roger over the years. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. And Wednesday, November 12 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 12 at 10:30 a.m. at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, Sudbury.
