Christopher David Barrass Obituary
Christopher “Chris” David Barrass of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, died suddenly and peacefully in his sleep on August 30, 2026. He was 60.
Chris was a devoted husband and father who embraced life with humour and energy. He treasured time with his wife and son, David, and enjoyed pickleball, sharing a pint with friends, hockey, baseball, and golf. His family remembers his strong work ethic, laughter, close friendships, and encouragement to live fully in the present.
He was the older brother of Elizabeth (Michael), uncle of Thomas and Vanessa, brother-in-law of Kelly, honorary uncle of Michael (Jessica), and son-in-law of Mike and Carol. Chris was predeceased by his parents, David and Mary.
A celebration of life will be held at Burkeview Memorial Services, 1340 Dominion Avenue in Port Coquitlam, on September 11, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial donations to KidSport BC in Chris’s name so more children and families can participate in sports.
