He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia Dianne Christy; his parents, Allan Christy and Mina Christy; and his brother Bruce Christy. He is survived by: his children, Shelley Loescher (Mark), Kathy Wiles (Tom) and Jeff Christy (Heather); his grandchildren, Olivia, Allie, Nick, Mike, Sarah, Mitch, Victoria, Brian and Elizabeth; and his great grandchildren, Sofie, Cedar and Maxwell.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Comstock – Kaye Life Celebration Centre (356 Rubidge St, Peterborough, ON K9H4C7). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Causeway Christian Assembly (1307 Yankee Line, Bridgenorth, ON K0L1H0). A committal service will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Highland Park Funeral Centre (2510 Bensfort Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J1C5).
