CLARK, Robert “Bob” Clark

With love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Clark of Owen Sound, on August 3, 2026 at the age of 87. Bob will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 53 years Bawn Clark (nee Schultz). Greatly missed by his children Rob (Heather) Clark and Stephanie (Todd) McGregor. Adored Bumpa to Brighton, Carrigan, and Leyton McGregor, and treasured Grampa Clark to Benjamin and Haley Clark all of whom brought him great pride. Fondly remembered by his sisters Carole (Arnold) Forsyth, Barb (the late Alex) Hopkins, and Susan (Steve) Harrison, and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues whose life he impacted greatly.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lorne and Ivy Clark (nee Ball), and by many beloved family members, friends, and furry companions who shared in the memories and experiences that meant so much to him.

Bob will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, and genuine interest in others. Thoughtful, patient, and compassionate, he had a gift for making people feel heard and valued. Whether with family, friends, coworkers, or someone he had just met, he was known for his gentle nature, wise advice, and unwavering support. As a close friend said, “There’s nobody who doesn’t like Bob Clark.”

After graduating with a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo, he helped build the northern portion of Highway 6 to Tobermory, before pivoting to Sales. In over 30 years at RBW Graphics and Transcontinental Printing, he earned the respect of colleagues and customers for his professionalism, integrity, and willingness to help others. His career also provided many opportunities to travel, which was something he greatly enjoyed.

In his younger years, he played trombone in a band, travelling and performing in small communities in Grey and Bruce Counties. An avid golfer, he treasured his time spent on the course, enjoying countless rounds with friends and golf excursions throughout the years. He also found happiness in woodworking and spending time fishing and boating on Georgian Bay with family and friends. A lifelong sports fan, he cheered faithfully for the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Blue Jays, but his greatest pride came from watching his children and grandchildren play the sports they loved.

Above all, Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and colleague who celebrated life’s milestones, supported every adventure, and was always ready with a listening ear. He approached everything in life with remarkable care, organization, and attention to detail. His legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and love – qualities that will continue to live on in the many lives he has touched.

A come and go memorial visitation to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in the Rutherford Room, 1900 3rd Ave. E., Owen Sound on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Words of remembrance will be shared at 1:30 p.m., and will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
