The measure of a life is not found in the years we live, but in the lives we change. By that measure, Diane Clarke lived an extraordinary life.

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, family member, colleague, and dear friend, Diane Clarke, whose strength, compassion, and unwavering love touched countless lives.

Diane was a woman of extraordinary character. She lived with courage, integrity, and a heart devoted to serving others. She dedicated much of her life to supporting individuals living with mental illness, treating every person she met with dignity, compassion, and respect. In later years, she proudly operated her own residential cleaning business, approaching every home and every client with the same care and dedication that defined her life.

She was fiercely protective of those who were vulnerable and never hesitated to stand up for someone who could not stand up for themselves. Diane believed in fairness, honesty, and doing what was right, regardless of how difficult it might be. She spoke her mind unapologetically. She was genuine, raw, and never pretended to be anyone other than herself. Whether her words were easy to hear or not, they were always honest. People respected Diane because they always knew they were getting the truth, spoken from a place of conviction and authenticity.

To her family, Diane was our rock. She was the definition of strength. She faced life’s challenges with remarkable resilience and encouraged those around her to do the same. She taught her children and grandchildren to stand tall, persevere through hardship, and never lose hope. Though she carried the weight of so much, she rarely allowed others to see her burden. Her greatest heartache was never her own, it was seeing the people she loved in pain. There was nothing she wouldn’t have done to ease their suffering, and nothing she cherished more than her family.

Her love for her children and grandchildren knew no limits. They were the greatest joy of her life, and everything she did was rooted in her desire to build a better future for them. She gave of herself freely, often placing the needs of others before her own without expecting anything in return.

Since her passing, the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, stories, and support has revealed just how deeply Diane impacted her community. The countless lives she touched stand as a testament to the extraordinary woman she was. While words cannot fully express the loss we feel, they also cannot capture the legacy she leaves behind.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that a love like Diane’s does not end. It lives on in every lesson she taught, every person she encouraged, every life she uplifted, and every act of kindness inspired by her example.

Diane may no longer walk beside us, but her strength will continue to guide us, her love will forever surround us, and her legacy will live on through her children, her grandchildren, her family, her friends, and the many lives she changed simply by being herself.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.”
