
He, otherwise known as Dukie, was born in hometown Makkovik, Labrador on October 14 1968. On Monday August 17th of 2026, Clyde passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in company of loved ones and their amazing care at the age of 57.
Leaving behind to mourn, his three children Benjamin Jararuse, Kristen Mitchell (Alex), and Jennifer Mitchell (Jacob). Along with beloved Grandchildren, Kamea, Amiya, his expected grandson, Violet and Karsen.
Clyde Mitchell was born to predeceased parents Edward and Elizabeth Mitchell along side siblings, Clayton Mitchell (Cathy), Jane Mitchell (Percy), Susan Jacque (Sam), Lilly Rice (Aubrey), and pre deceased sister, Laurita Anthony (Paul).
While growing up in Makkovik, Clyde participated in community events, made many friends, and started working with Uncle Jim, who worked with the town council.
In coming years, Clyde moved to Ontario to start his family with Lilly Jararuse.
As time went on, Clyde spent a lot of his life raising his children along side wife, Casandra Mitchell.
He was a big part of the community by always lending a helping hand wherever he could. Clyde would complete various jobs such as shovelling, cutting grass, and gardening; as well as supporting Trenton United Church.
He spent many of his talents playing darts, fishing, golfing, cooking, and much more.
Clyde was well known for his funny and witty personality. He was very sociable, personable and always had a smile on his face.
We love you, you will be forever missed and in our hearts.
We will be holding a celebration of life on September 13th from 2 – 4pm at the Trenton Royal Canadian Legion in the private room.
We welcome everyone that knew him from small conversations or years of friendship to speak in honour of him.
