At his home, in Oshawa, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in his 83^rd year.  Beloved husband of the late Shirley (née St. Cyr).  Dear father of Karen Sove (Chuck) of Edmonton, Darin Cooper of Brampton, ON and Chris Cooper of Edmonton.  Beloved Grampa to grandchildren Devan, Cory, Tylor and Chelsea-Lynn and great-grandchildren Ava Louise, Charles William, John Henry and Ollie-Beau.  Ever remembered by his siblings Rosemarie Macdonell, his twin sister Agnes Berard, Sharon Craggs, and Claire Campbell (Cameron).  Predeceased by siblings Mary Woodrow, Joseph Cooper, George Cooper, James Cooper and Catherine Gibbons.  Son of the late George and Patricia Cooper of Orillia, ON.  Dear friend and companion of the late Betty Elliott.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of John’s life at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.  A private family interment will be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of John to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Online condolences may be shared at makfuneralhome.com
