COOPER, Orval Cecil Cooper

passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026 at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Orval was the beloved husband of Brenda (née Ferguson) for 51 years. Loving father to Steven (Brenda), Bradley (Sharon), John (Janet), and Mark (Diane). He was a proud and devoted  grandfather to Warren and Mariah, Lucas and Riley, and Marci and James, he was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren. He is survived by his dear sister Yvonne and will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Orval was predeceased by his siblings William and Lola.

A dedicated and hardworking man of a reputable company co-founded with his life partner Brenda. He was a true pioneer known for his strong work ethic and for setting exceptionally high standards in his profession, leaving a lasting legacy through his work and leadership. Orval will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his integrity, and the impact he made on those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A visitation and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 29th on what would have been his 95th birthday, at the Beacan Presbyterian Church, Beaverton visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation and would be appreciated by the family.

Orval Cecil will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
