COWLE, Yvonne Dorothy Cowle

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our mom at Glen Hill Strathaven in her 94th year, with her daughter by her side. Beloved wife of 30 years, the late Bruce Mortimer. Loving mother of the late Jane (Wayne Paeden), Dan (Dar), Nancy (Paul), and Vickie (Al). Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren Craig, Angela (Ryan), Keri (Chad), Bucky (Erin), Alissa, Sarah, Jen (Andrew), Mark (Amanda) and Erin. Also loving great grandmother to her wonderful 17 great grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Also missed by Bruce’s children Lorri (Betty), the late Karen and her late spouse Eric, Richard (Gilles) and the late Terry missed by Bruce’s 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild as well. Predeceased by her parents and her brother’s Glen, Grant, Ross and their families.

Yvonne Dorothy Cowle was born and raised in Hampton and Janetville, she attended hairdressing school and worked at a salon in Bowmanville. Once she had her children she worked out of the house until they were older. She later became the hairdresser at Strathaven & Marnwood Nursing Home along with Jane. Mom enjoyed entertaining the seniors at various places with Pat Prout, Ruth Cowle and Jean Lepine. Bruce and Mum enjoyed travelling and formed a 4 piece band. She also organized the music in the park in Newcastle.

We would like to extend our deepest thanks to all the staff at Glen Hill Strathaven for all their support during this difficult time.

Mom will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
