CROWTHER, George Charles Crowther

Peacefully, at home, surrounded by the love of his family, George Charles Crowther passed away on July 1, 2026.Β  He was in his 91st year. Born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, a place he lovingly referred to as β€œGod’s Country,” he learned the values of faith, family, kindness and service. These values guided him every day of his life.

At the heart of George’s life was his beloved wife, Sylvia, whom he shared 61 years of unwavering commitment. He was a deeply devoted and loving Dad to Nadine, RenΓ©e, and Brett and caring father-in-law to Richard and Peter. His greatest joy was his grandchildren, Tate, Stephanie and Emmalea. He loved them endlessly and adored spending time with them. His love, encouragement, sense of humour and gentle wisdom will remain with them always. George’s many nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart.

A lifelong member of St. John’s Anglican Church, West Brant, George faithfully served his church community for many years. His love of sports, music, dancing and laughter brought joy to all who knew him.

We are at peace knowing that our Dad has gone to his heavenly home, where he is reunited with his parents, friends and beloved siblings: John, Wilson, Helen, Elizabeth, Dan, Gerald, Laura, Grace, and Fred. Β Though our hearts are heavy, we are deeply grateful for the gift of his life.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Rd., Paris, ON. Β A Private Family Graveside Interment will take place at a later date. Β Donations to a charity of your choice in George’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
