On the morning of May 8, 2025, Marlene Helen Cunningham passed away peacefully on her own terms following a two-month stay at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

Marlene leaves behind her beloved husband Randy, with whom she shared 42.5 wonderful years of marriage. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Jennifer (Adam), son James (Valerie), brother Lloyd (April), sister Barbara, and many nieces and nephews. She was joyfully welcomed into the arms of her late parents, Howard and Marion Moore.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of PRHC, especially those on inpatient units B3 and D2, for their incredible care and support during Marlene’s final weeks.

Visitation will take place Thursday, May 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Rushnell Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope. A brief service will follow at 12:00 p.m.

Donations in Marlene’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in Peterborough.
