Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Hillsdale Estates in Oshawa, with family by his side, Peter Day passed away at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (née Scott), Peter was a devoted father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
He was the loving father of Peter J. Day, Heather O’Connor (Chris), and Kerri Venedam (Wayne), and was predeceased by his infant daughter, Carol Anne. Peter was a proud grandfather to Adam, Breanne, Cameron, Brittny, Westley, Logan, and Hayden, and a cherished great-grandfather to Allie, Colin, Lennon, and Wray. He is also survived by his sisters Jeannette, Margaret, and Betty.
Peter’s family remembers him as a kind and devoted patriarch who brought joy and love to those around him. His legacy of love and care will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to Wagg Funeral Home, located at 216 Queen Street, Port Perry, Ontario. As per Peter’s wishes, a private service will be held with immediate family.
