DEJERSEY, Lorne Clifford DeJersey

Peacefully, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Bobcaygeon, at age 73. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Marion (nee Robson) DeJersey, and his brother Ray DeJersey. Lorne DeJersey, born on December 12, 1951, lived a life full of hard work, laughter, and heart.

A lifelong farmer in Woodville, he spent his years working side by side with his father as  dairy farmers, all while faithfully tending to the land they cherished.

After retiring in 2010, and relocating to Lindsay, Lorne never lost his passion for farming, tractors and “all that farm stuff.” He enjoyed his new, smaller landscape to maintain.

Lorne was a familiar face at Neabors Restaurant, where friendships were built over countless cups of coffee, shepherd’s pie, and good conversation. Known for his quirky sense of humour and unmistakable giggle, he had a way of making people smile wherever he went. Lorne was the kind of friend who was always there when you needed a hand – steady, kind, and genuine.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Pinecrest Nursing Home for their wonderful care and compassion. Lorne spoke often of his new friends and his “table buddies”, who brought warmth and laughter to his days. Lorne will be deeply missed by his family and friends – especially his cousin Michael Kehoe and his family of Calgary, and his dear friends Joanne, Bill, Barb, Jacob, and Anna Konkle, – and all who were lucky enough to know him.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to the THORNE FUNERAL HOME, 109 Laidlaw Street South in Cannington (705-432-2672). Interment Cedarvale Cemetery in Cannington.
