DEJOURNETT, Geraldine Mary Dejournett

It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Geraldine (“Geri”) Mary Dejournette on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa.  Geri leaves behind her sons, Shawn Henry Haggarty (Rose) and James Thomas Dejournette.  She will now join her daughter, Laureen Ann “Laurie” Haggarty, her brother, Robert Stephen Hughes, and her parents, Thomas “Tom” Hughes and Elizabeth “Betty” Hughes.  Geri leaves behind her grandchildren, Stephanie (Sal), Robert (Megan), Tommy and Domineek and three great grandchildren. May her soul rest in peace.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcastle Funeral Homes Ltd., Newcastle, ON  L1B 1C6 (905-987-3964).  No funeral service will be held.  Cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to Lakeridge Health – Oshawa.
