DEMERCHANT, Mary Kathleen Demerchant

Passed away on November 12, 2025 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 70.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Gary (June 10, 2025). Loving mother of Michelle & Mac, Michael & Kim, Josh, Stacey, Tammy & Jay, and Clay & Amanda. Lovingly remembered by her 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Dear sister of Jim & Sharon Walker. Predeceased by her parents Charlie & Joyce Walker and her sister Sally Baker.

Lovingly remembered her nieces, nephews, extended family and her step-mother Judy Holmes and her family.

Mary was a long-time dedicated employee of General Motors.

She lived her life with creativity, courage, and love. She was known for her crafty hands, always creating something beautiful. She loved the thrill of a good bingo game and the laughter and friendships that came with it.

Adventurous by nature, she never let fear hold her back, whether it was travelling to new places, trying something bold, or standing up for what she believed in. Her strong personality was matched only by her kindness and generosity. She had a way of making everyone around her feel supported and cared for.

Above all, she was a devoted and loving mother, who was always there for her children, cheering them on through every moment of life.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 12-1 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1 p.m.
