Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Derrick Ivan Odolphy passed away at the age of 72.
Born in Sarnia on April 14, 1954, Derrick was the beloved husband of Sylvia (Vandervies) Odolphy celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. Loving father of Scott (Tara) Odolphy and Jill (Colin) Holbrough and predeceased by his son Rodney. Derrick was a proud and loving grandfather to Karis, Griffin and Gemma Holbrough, and Lily, Eli, Rebekah and Noah Odolphy. Dear brother of Jack Odolphy and Bob (Diane) Odolphy. Derrick was predeceased by his brother Donald and his parents, Bouke and Nelly Odolphy.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following at 3:00 p.m.
