Francis Edward Dewey

April 21, 1970 – February 6, 2026

Smiling person in black shirt with floral frame.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Francis Dewey, on February 6th, 2026 leaving a space that can never be filled by those who loved him most.

Francis was a devoted husband to Mary (Stalony), with whom he shared 15 years of marriage , love, and commitment. Above all else, he was a father. His three children—Joel(25) Adrian (12) and Victoria (14) were his heart. Francis adored his children completely. They were his greatest pride, his deepest joy, and the reason behind everything he did. All he ever wanted was for them to be happy, to feel supported, and to succeed in whatever dreams they chose to follow. His love for them was unwavering and unconditional.

Francis is reunited in heaven with his parents, Jack Edward and Leelamary, his brother, Anthony and his sisters, Agatha and Sandra who predeceased him.  He is lovingly remembered by his siblings, Edna (Danny), Julie (Anwar), Rosemary (Deepak) and brother Christopher (Suzan).  Francis will be deeply missed by all his many nieces and nephews, who will miss his kindness, his quiet strength, and the way he showed love simply by being there.

Francis lived for his family. His legacy is not found in things, but in the love he gave so freely and in the lives of his children, who carry him with them always.

Relatives and friends are welcomed for a visitation at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the  Good Sheppard St.Michael’s Church, 182 Sixth St., Toronto , ONT  on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Following the mass, Francis will then be laid to rest at Park Lawn Cemetery (2845 Bloor St., east of Prince Edward Dr.)
