John Blaine Dickey

Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026.  John Blaine Dickey of Mallorytown, age 94 years.  John was predeceased by a son, Thomas (Tommy) and daughter, Sharon, as well as his sister, Jean Turner, and his parents Blaine and Mary Dickey.  Beloved husband of Mary (Doyle) for 72 years. Loving father of Elaine (Bob Covey), Stephen (Donna), Mark (Kim), David and Jamie (Paige), and cherished grandfather to Jason, (Sarah), Richard (Sherry), Benjamin (Valentina), Leah (James), Sarah (Chris), Jonathan, Nathan (Virginia), Jillian (Max), and Isabelle.  Great-grandfather to Gwyneth, Wesley, Edmund, Fraser, Victoria, Christian, Isaac, Jethro, Zoe, Sienna, Bella, Elysia, Aria, and Claire. Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dickey worked at the Brockville Psychiatric Hospital for 37 years, primarily as a maintenance welder and pipefitter.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Brockville General Hospital for their kindness and care over the past three weeks.

Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville on Saturday, June 27 from noon until 2:45 p.m.  Funeral Service will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel.  Internment to follow at Yonge Mills Cemetery.  In memory of John, donations to the Brockville Wesleyan Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
