Larry Dillon

October 30, 1944 – December 3, 2025

Larry passed away at Southbridge Long Term Care Home in Goderich on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 in his 81st year.
Dearly loved husband of Linda Dillon for 53 years. Missed by his children Michelle (Shawn) and Brad (Alicia) and his grandchildren Brandy (Issac), Matthew and most recently his adopted granddaughter Myles. Also missed by his brother Jerry (Debbie) Dillon, sisters-in-law Diane (Gary) Leonard, Nancy (Doug) Anstett, Janice Preszcator, Rose Preszcator and Marjorie Dillon.
Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Hazel Dillon, in-laws Ken and Velma Preszcator, brother Hardy Dillon, brothers-in-law Jim and David Preszcator.
Larry enjoyed many things during his life. At 17 he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Goose Bay, Labrador as a Communications Technician. He was a police officer for the city of Waterloo, an Employment Counsellor with Canada Manpower, and a Social Worker for the Drug and Alcohol Addiction Unit at the Goderich Psychiatric Hospital.
Larry designed and built a 50 sow farrow to finish swine barn and a new home for the family on “the Preszcator Family Farm.”
He taught farming practices at Centralia College of Agricultural Technology in Huron Park. As a mature student, he returned to school and earned a law degree and a business degree from Western. He practiced law with White, Jenkins, Duncan and Ostner in Waterloo, had a private practice, was a Compliance Officer with Equitable Life and Clarica.
Larry rounded out his career as a corporate lawyer with Faithlife Financial in Waterloo.
His hobbies included helping those in need, motorcycles, photography and renovating.
At Larry’s request, cremation has taken place. A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held at Falconer Funeral Homes – Bluewater Chapel, 201 Suncoast Drive, East, Goderich on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Huron Hospice Bender House would be greatly appreciated.
