At Wingham & District Hospital on Thursday, March 26, 2026, Irene Dinsmore passed away at the age of 100.

Devoted mother of Carol & Don Taylor, the late Gail Lennon (2025) and the late Peter Dinsmore (2025); and lovingly remembered by their spouses John Lennon and Linda Dinsmore.

Adored grandma of Jeremy & Elicia Taylor, Erin & Josh Miller, Sheldon & Bethany Dinsmore, Kristen & Steve Beyersbergen and Adam & Lindsay Dinsmore.

Special great-grandma of Natalie, Annalise and Colin Taylor, Hailey and Abby Miller, Ryan and Gillian Dinsmore, Liam, Aiden and Ethan Beyersbergen and Avery, Gavin and Reid Dinsmore.

Sister of Winnifred Ross.

Irene was born in 1925 to Morley & Edna Bell. The family moved to Howick Township in 1937 and she married a boy on the farm down the road in 1945. Irene farmed alongside Carl for fifty years and raised her family. Irene then moved to the farm on Gorrie line and in 2010 took up residence in the Gorrie apartments. She was a resident of Howick Township until February of 2025 when she moved to Nine Mile Villa in Lucknow.

Predeceased by her husband Carl Dinsmore (1995), son Jerry Dinsmore in infancy (1948), parents Morley & Edna (Hanna) Bell, brothers Max (Anna) Bell and Harold (Betty) Bell, brother-in-law Jack Ross and sisters-in-law Nellie (Harry) King and Edith (Bill) Lockridge.

A private family service will be held in the funeral home chapel. A celebration of Irene’s life will be held in the spring at the family farm. Interment will take place in Wroxeter Cemetery.
