DOBSON, Linda Jean Dobson

passed peacefully and softly after a courageous battle with cancer. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Robert Francis Dobson. Linda’s warmth, kindness, and bright spirit live on through her two children, David (Angela) and JulieLynn (Chuck), who were the pride and joy of her life. Linda Jean Dobson will be deeply missed by her five cherished grandchildren, Jessica (Brad), Jason (Michelle), Lynsie (Cory), Stacie, and Bobbi-Geo (Mason), as well as her many adored great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense happiness. Linda shared a special and enduring bond with her five sisters, Pat, Mary-Jane, Nancy, Susan, and Cindy, and was predeceased by her brother, Stephen. The love, laughter, and memories they shared together throughout the years will be treasured forever. Cherished sister-in-law of Audrey, Bill, and (late) Jim. She will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her generosity, warmth, and unwavering love.

Lynn was truly a shining light. She filled the lives around her with warmth, kindness, laughter, and love. While we will miss her deeply, we take comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind the family gatherings, the shared meals, the stories, the laughter, and the unwavering love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in her family, in the friendships she nurtured, and in the many lives she touched. May we honour her by carrying forward the generosity, joy, and love that she shared with all of us. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sarnia & District Humane Society or to Bluewater Health in support of the exceptional Palliative Care Team, whose compassion, kindness, and dedicated care brought great comfort to Lynn and her family.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Family and close friends will be received one hour prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Following the funeral service, a Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. at the Corunna Legion, 350 Albert St., Corunna, where all are welcome to join the family in remembering and honouring Lynn’s life.
