Passed away unexpectedly at home with his family, on Friday, April 10, 2026 at the age of 83 years.
Don Doucette of Pembroke, beloved husband of the late Darla Doucette (nee Clouthier). Loving father of Trent Doucette (Kim), Celista BC; Paul Doucette (Sophie), Halifax; and Paula Fox (Chad Stewart), Pembroke. Dear grandfather of Cody & Colton (Andrea); Lily, Justin, Tyson (Madelyn), Sarah (Meek) & David; and Katie (Brendan). Special great-grandfather of Oaklyn, Zoe, Noah, Carter & Damazi. The youngest of 10 children of the late Joseph & Sarah Doucette (nee Surette) of Nova Scotia, Don is survived by his sisters Blanche & Helena; and brother Bobby; as well as many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to Joanne, his special caregiver; to physiotherapists Mark & Hillary – he wanted so bad to just walk again, he tried his hardest and never gave up hope; and to the girls from the Access Home Care HISH Program for their wonderful care.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Petawawa on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Neville Funeral Home, Pembroke.
