DOWSE, Donna Lorraine Dowse

Passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, at Southlake Hospital, surrounded by love.

Donna was the devoted wife of Garry Dowse, and together they shared a life of deep love and partnership that would have reached 57 years of marriage this April. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a proud and loving mother to her two sons, Tim and Kevin. Tim, her firstborn, shared a very strong and special bond with Donnaβ€”one built on deep love, trust, and connection. Tim and his wife, Deenaβ€”who Donna lovingly considered the daughter she never hadβ€”held an especially dear place in her heart.

Donna also shared a unique and meaningful bond with her son Kevin, whom she believed was so much like her in his own quiet way.

She was a cherished grandmother to Shayla, Carl, Cole, and Maddie, and a proud great-grandmother to Leo, Lillie, and Maisie, who lovingly knew her as Gigi and brought her endless joy. Family meant everything to Donna, and her love for them was constant, fierce, and unconditional.

Donna was predeceased by her parents and her brothers. She is survived by her sisters, including her beloved sister Bonnie, with whom she shared an especially close and irreplaceable bond. Donna was also a loving sister-in-law, auntie, and cousin to many.

Known for her strength, kindness, and selflessness, Donna spent her life caring for othersβ€”always giving, always putting loved ones first. She was the strongest woman many had ever known, facing life with quiet courage and an open heart. Her love for her husband and family was the foundation of everything she did.

Donna had a deep love for animals and nature, and her compassion extended to all living things.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral or celebration of life. Those who wish to honor Donna’s memory are invited to make a donation to a local wildlife habitat, reflecting her love for animals and the natural world.

Donna was deeply loved and will be forever missed. Her legacy lives on in the family she treasured and the many lives she touched with her generosity, strength, and heart.
