It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of David Durnford on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 66.
Born in Sydney on June 18, 1959, he is survived by his beloved wife Irene Durnford, his loving children Lee Ann Durnford, Catherine Durnford and Christine Durnford, his dear grandchildren Aurora and Adrian. He leaves behind his siblings Jabez Durnford, Wayne Durnford, Harold (Chuck) Durnford, Robert (Audrey) Durnford, Frank Durnford, Victor (Pamela) Durnford, Cindy Cooke (Blair), Todd Durnford (Ma Cynthia) and Kim Wood (Jeff), as well as by his mother-in-law Mary and by many nieces, nephews and friends.
David was predeceased by his parents Frank and Ada Durnford, his son David Rose, his father-in-law Murray Rose and by his brother Charlie Durnford.
Family will receive friends on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lessard Funeral Home. A reception will follow at 1 p.m. in the Lessard Reception Centre. Remembrance donations to the Sick Kids Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
