Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 5, 2025 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 99.

Predeceased by his parents, Marvin and Olive, and his brother Bill (Joan).

Survived by his beloved wife, Lucille, of 73 years. Devoted father to John (Colleen), Brian (Cathy), Tom (Maria), and Keith (Lisa). Proud grandpa to Emily (Mike), Victoria (Nathan), Vanessa (Neil), Laura (Tim), William, Roxanne (Ryan), Cooper, and D’Arcy, and loving great-grandpa to Sophia, Madison, Noah, Madelyn, and Olivia.

During his married life Ken proudly supported his family and maintained their home in good order. Through many family projects and adventures, Ken shared his motivation, knowledge, and skills, including building a family cottage in Combermere, Ontario.

After graduating from Galt Collegiate and Vocational School in 1943, Ken began a 42-year career with Bell Canada. He took on challenges and promotions, working primarily in Management positions for Network Maintenance in Southwestern Ontario, and Network Switch Provisioning in Toronto.

At the end of his career, Ken moved with Lucille to Saudi Arabia where he worked with Bell International for a few years. During this period, they were able to travel to Africa, China, and other destinations in that part of the world.

In retirement, Ken and Lucille moved to Whitby where they started a residential alarm installation business and, subsequently, picture framing.

Ken and Lucille made friends in retirement through square dancing with local groups in Durham Region and in Florida, where they spent quite a few winters. They continued to enjoy music and social dancing while living in retirement residences at Harmony Hill and Lakeridge Heights since 2016.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital, Lakeridge Heights and Harmony Hill retirement residences for their care and comfort.
