EEDE, Richard Gerald Eede

Gerry died peacefully at Trillium Villa Nursing Home in Sarnia, Ontario, on June 23, 2026, at the age of 88. Gerry was predeceased by his wife Charlotte Winnifred Eede (2021) (nee McKinnon) who he has missed terribly. Loving father of Craig Eede. Daughter-in-law Nicole, loving grandfather of Colten and Cohen. Brother Donald (Maureen). Niece Christine (Georger (Sue), nephews Donald Eede (Nancy) and William Eede (Mari). Predeceased by parents William and Alice (Brackell) Eede.

He attended Essex District High School and went on at 17 to Queen’s University, graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After a brief period in DND and industry in Ottawa, Gerry and Charlotte moved to Sarnia where he spent 29 years on the staff of Lambton College. A passionate sports fan, he closely followed his favorite teams. He spent many years coaching local minor league hockey teams and made many friends along the way.

Richard Gerald Eede had a 1968 red Corvette convertible which enjoyed driving, he along with others and their prized vehicles, visited local retirement centers etc. to proudly display their cars and provide memories to the residents. Anyone who met and knew Gerry respected and loved him. Thanks so much for the kindness and care the Trillium Villa Home provided. Services to be announced at a later date.
