DUDA, Elizabeth – passed away gracefully on September 10, 2026 at the age of 98. Predeceased by her husband Jerry in 1988. Survived by daughters Theresa, Catherine (Mario), Margery, Elizabeth (Darren) and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Catherine, Ashley and Onyx. Past foster parent of baby Marley, aunt to Daphne Carlyle and Katherine Kenal. Born in Shortdale Manitoba, and as a teen moved to Vancouver and worked for the BC Telephone Company. She married the love of her life Jerry Duda in 1949.

Elizabeth shared her joy and love for life with others through her family, singing, cooking, her Ukrainian culture, church community including her leadership role in the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League, and as head cook at Children’s Hospital. We will all miss her beautiful smile and laughter. Rest in eternal peace.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday September 17, 2026 at 12pm at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church 3150 Ash Street Vancouver. Burial to follow at 2pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burnaby. Arrangements by Mount Pleasant Universal Funeral Home www.MountPleasantFuneral.com. The family wishes that a donation to a favorite charity is considered in lieu of flowers.
