FITZPATRICK, Victor John Fitzpatrick
November 14, 1928 - July 3, 2025
Victor John Fitzpatrick II, best friend and beloved husband for 64 years of Arlene Ann Fitzpatrick (née Fletcher), was called to heaven at the age of 96. Victor was born on Allumette Island, Quebec, on November 14, 1928. He will be dearly missed by his four sons and spouses, Victor John III (Kristi), Timothy James (Catherine), Paul Lloyd, Brett Joseph (Nicole), and his much-loved grandchildren: Quinn-Taylor Arlene, Cian Joseph, Caelyn Nicole, Kyle Victor, Michelle Elizabeth (predeceased), and Aaron James. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Victor was the eldest of ten siblings, survived by his sister Ramona MacInnis (Pius) and brother Neil Fitzpatrick (Yoshiko). He was predeceased by his parents, the late Victor John I and Margaret Elizabeth Fitzpatrick (née Hynes), as well as his siblings Sr. Marjorie CSJ, Leona Langill (Neale), Marina LaFontaine (Robert), Margaret Kruger (Kevin), and brothers James (Anne), Andrew (Lynda), and Brian (Judy).
Victor had many accolades throughout his full life. He was a legacy member of Boilermakers Local 128 since 1957, and his work took him around the globe with Foster Wheeler Ltd. He was also a charter member of Burlington Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Assembly 3176 Bishop Reding and a member of Father Vernon Culleton Council 10091 in Waterdown. Victor was an active, revered, and enthusiastic volunteer at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish for 34 years.
The family will receive relatives and friends at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill Street North, Waterdown, on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm, with prayers by the Legion of Mary. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Parish, 715 Centre Road, Waterdown, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 11:00 am. Lunch and refreshments will follow in the Parish Hall.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Ontario Health at Home, Stay at Home Nursing, ParaMed Nurses, and the palliative care team at Bayshore Home Care Solutions, St. Joseph’s, and St. Elizabeth Home Care, as well as Valerie Patrick.
