Dennis Campbell Fleming

January 16, 1947 – June 2, 2025

Man in cap standing beside ATV in nature.

Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to a true legend. Dennis “Denny” Fleming passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, with his beloved wife Sharon by his side, surrounded by family and friends, and the music of Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, and Willie Nelson playing softly in the background.

Denny leaves behind his soulmate and wife of 58 years, Sharon (née Jackson), and was the proud father and best friend to Allison, Trevor (Maria), and Stacey (Mark). He was the deeply adored Grandpa to Ryan (Jade), Ben (Laura), Tanner (Kayla), Jack (Kylie), and “Little Miss” Emily (Gavin). His grandchildren were his world.

Denny was the son of the late Jessie and Don Fleming, and beloved brother of Linda Smith-Bemrose (Warren), Janet Mason (Russ), Mary Wilson (Bob), and the late Sandra Mitchell. He was a cherished in-law to the late Yvonne and Gordy Jackson and their family.

Known affectionately as “Crusher” at the Paper Mill, Denny was respected for his work ethic and strong friendships. His adventures, especially “fishing” with Tom Odber at Tay Lake and prospecting up north with Trevor, are remembered with laughter and pride.

Denny’s impact extended beyond family — welcoming many into his home as “adopted” children. Erica Becking was especially dear to him, considered a third daughter, and stood by his side during his final journey.

A celebration of Denny’s life “Denny Style” will be held Saturday, June 14 at 2:00 p.m. at 55 Killarney Road (Stacey & Mark’s). Please wear plaid, a T-shirt with a pocket, jeans or a ball cap, and come celebrate the legend that was #Crusher47.

Memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Special thanks to the ICU staff at SAH, Nurse Jamie, Dr. Defabio, and Erica for their care and compassion.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at O’Sullivan Funeral Home.
