FLETCHER, Brenda Jean Fletcher

Peacefully surrounded by family late Wednesday evening June 3, 2026. Brenda Fletcher of Kemble in her 73rd year. Cherished wife of Bob Balatka. Much loved sister of Brian Fletcher (Mary) of Barrie and Brad Fletcher (Maureen) of Vancouver Island. Missed by niece Courtney (Jay) and nephew Nathan (Ashley). Predeceased by parents Eleanor (nee Edwards) and Gordon Fletcher.

Brenda Jean Fletcher was born in London, Ontario, grew up in nearby Glencoe before moving back to London. She obtained a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Windsor then pursued a career in teaching that spanned for 40 years with the Toronto District School Board and the York Region District School Board.

Brenda demonstrated acts of compassion in the community that have been witnessed by many. She will be remembered for her attentiveness and loyalty to friends.

One of her favorite activities was participating in competitive Dragon Boat events and was a member of the Grey Bruce Dragon Boat Club.

Brenda possessed a great love of nature including tree species, hydrology and cloud physics.

Private family arrangements entrusted to DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth, Ontario. A celebration to be announced at a later date.
