It is with heavy hearts that the family of Cheryl Diane Fletcher announce her peaceful passing at home, surrounded by loved ones, on December 2, 2025, at the age of 81.
Cheryl is lovingly survived by her daughters Debbie (Bill) and Andrea. She will be dearly missed by her granddaughter Ashley (Kyle), with whom she shared a special bond, and by her great-grandsons Jackson and Carter. Her family brought her immense pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent watching them grow.
She is predeceased by her parents, William and Mary, her beloved son Scott, and her sister Bonnie, with whom she shared lifelong memories and family traditions. Cheryl now reunites with them in peace.
In her community, Cheryl was a longtime and active member of Waverly Road Baptist Church, where she found comfort, purpose, and spiritual guidance. Her faith grounded her, offering strength during life’s challenges and gratitude during its blessings. She made many friendships there and was known for her kind spirit, gentle presence, and genuine interest in the well-being of others.
Cheryl found joy in the simple, meaningful pleasures of life. She loved sharing music with her children and delighted in taking them to see some of her favourite musicians—moments filled with excitement, togetherness, and memories that have lasted a lifetime. She cherished being outdoors, whether quietly enjoying the warmth of her backyard on a sunny afternoon or taking a peaceful stroll along the boardwalk, feeling the breeze, watching the waves, and taking in the beauty around her.
Cheryl will be remembered for her warm heart, thoughtful nature, and gentle spirit. Above all, she treasured her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always offering unwavering love and support. Her legacy lives on in the generations who follow her, in the lessons she taught, and in the memories she helped create. Cheryl will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to share in her life. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely and the kindness she showed so effortlessly will continue to shine through those who carry her memory in their hearts.
