Peacefully, on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Trillium Villa Nursing Home, Floyd Cary passed away at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Cary (1982). Loving father of Cathy, Janet, and Mark Cary. Grandfather of two. Dear brother of Dorothy Vail. Survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Predeceased by his daughter Chrissy, parents Albert and Mary, brothers Urban, Howard, Keith, Roy, and Ken, sisters June, Linda, Shirley, and Patricia and their spouses.
Floyd will be remembered as a hard worker, laying tile and installing carpet into his 70s. He enjoyed simple things including a tasty meal, a good cup of coffee, and travelling up North to go fishing. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Trillium Villa Nursing Home for their care and compassion for Floyd.
Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Floyd’s wishes, no services will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
