Robert “Bob” Forbes passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Owen Sound on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the age of 79. Formerly of Tobermory, Bob was the beloved husband of the late Carolyne Forbes (nee Durance). Cherished father of Sean (Tina) of Mississauga, Dan (Katie) of Tobermory, Tara MacDonald (Robert) of Wiarton, and Patrick (Diana) of Sarnia.
Much loved grandfather of Samantha, Ethan, Lauren, Kiera, Bryaire, Kearnyn, Hudsen, Davis, and Gracie. Dear brother of Marlene Timms (Ray) of Sarnia and Betty Swain (Tom) of Huntsville, and brother-in-law of Cathy Houser, Brenda Durance, Doris Fleming (Harold), and Sue Durance. Predeceased by his parents, Margaret (nee Byers) and Frederick Forbes, and brothers-in-law John Durance, Jason Durance, and Tom Durance.
Funeral Service: Friday, May 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Tobermory United Church. Interment to follow at Dunk’s Bay Cemetery, Tobermory.
