Peacefully passed on October 6, 2025 in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Josie (Amore). Predeceased by his parents Eduardo and Grazia Lo Forte. Late parents of Josie – Ignazio and Angela Amore. The late Rosa and Gaetano Mantione. Giovanni will be missed by his cousin Frank Mantione and family and Aunt Carmelina and Uncle Onofrio Bonomo. Will also be missed by Joe and Mary Curto and family.
John was a 4th degree knight with the Knight of Columbus. He will be sadly missed by friends, especially Rob Greco, including many friends in the DJ business.
John worked many years at St. Joe’s West 5th (Compass Group) and will be sadly missed.
Visitation will be held at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel (43 Barton St. E.) on Thursday October 9, 2025 from 4-8 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church (165 Prospect St. N.) on Friday October 10, 2025 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington.
