After a long and happy life, during which she inspired so many, Reita passed away peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, surrounded by compassion and care. The family is deeply grateful for the kindness and dedication of all who looked after her.
She was able to remain in her own home on the farm almost until the end, and she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Martin, to whom she was married for 64 wonderful years.
Reita always felt deeply blessed by her family and friends who visited and shared their lives with her over the years. Many will remember that you never had to ask her twice if there was an opportunity to go somewhere!
She truly felt the love of everyone at her 100th birthday celebration. At this time, there will be no visitation or service.
