In loving memory of Ronald Fraser, who lived a full life to age 95, passing peacefully in the company of family at Glengarry Memorial Hospital, the evening of Thursday, April 2, 2026.
Ronald began life adventurous, having survived the Second World War bombings of London as a child, he became an English telecommunications officer working there and then overseas in Australia, eventually moving to Canada in the 1950’s where he met the love of his life, Julia Crowe. They married and settled in Montreal, having four children, Anne Marie (Pierre Lord), Tashmyra (David Kreiger), Steven (Tara Vatcher), and Patricia. His grandchildren include Marissa, Genevieve, Kevin, Jesse, Kristen, Serafina, Liam, and Kieran. His great grandchildren include Ronan and Lochlan.
Upon his retirement from TeleGlobe Canada, he found a new home in Glengarry, purchasing land near Dunvegan, Ontario. The Scottish roots of the community were familiar and the rural setting was a lifelong dream of his. Ron loved to be outdoors in the woods, forging and walking the trails with the many dogs he adopted over the years. He constantly kept busy and walked daily. He created his own Fraser park that has become beloved to the family and acts as a gathering place to this day.
Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria, ON (613-525-2772). As per Ron’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private celebration of life will be held with close family and friends.
