GADACZ, Hana Eun-Soo Gadacz

A devoted mother, talented coach, and cherished friend, fell asleep in our Lord on April 19th. Born in Kyonggi-do, Republic of Korea, she was the daughter of the late ‘Marc’ Kyong-Son Han of Pyongyang and Chong-Sang Lee of Seoul.

Eun-Soo began her professional life as a legal secretary before marrying the love of her life, Oleh Roman Gadacz, on September 25, 1985. She transitioned into her most cherished role as a homemaker, where she raised her three childrenβ€”Marco, Stefan, and Leshiaβ€”with tireless devotion. She was the engine of her household, famously known for her lightning speed in the kitchen and her extraordinary culinary skills; her legendary kimchi was a gift that friends and family will never forget.

An enthusiast for health and vitality, Eun-Soo discovered tennis as a young mother. What began as a hobby quickly became a lifelong passion. She didn’t just play the game; she mastered it. Her fierce competitive spirit was evident in her remarkable win-loss (11–1) record over one season in the Intercounty Tennis Association’s Mixed League (Majors Division).

Eun-Soo’s love for the sport evolved into a distinguished coaching career. She earned her Tennis Canada certifications as a TPA Instructor (2018) and TPA Coach 1 (2023). At the Mayfair Club, she found great joy in introducing beginners to the game, patiently helping others discover the same sport that had given her so much. When she wasn’t coaching or competing, she remained a constant fixture on the GTA tennis scene as a Roving Umpire for OTA tournaments.

Eun-Soo will be remembered for her fastidious nature, her relentless work ethic, and the “lightning speed” with which she approached everything in life.

She is survived by her husband, Oleh; her children, Marco, Stefan, and Leshia; and her siblings, Han Heung-Soo, Han Hee-Soo, and Han Seok-Soo.
