GANDIER, James Gerard Gandier
June 15, 1982 - June 24, 2026
It is with broken hearts that the family of James Gerard Gandier announce his passing on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Bluewater Health. James passed away at the age of 44. Beloved husband and best friend of Krystal Clarke. James was a devoted and loving father to Abby Gandier, Austin Gandier, Ravyn Gandier, and Kane Gandier. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in supporting and encouraging his children in everything they pursued. James will be lovingly remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was grateful for Angela Majewski, the mother of his two oldest children, the Clarke family for accepting him as one of their own, many wonderful friends, and Tracey Kaplin, their friend and rock.
James was predeceased by his son, Connor Gandier; his brother, John Gandier; and his parents, Margaret and John “Doug” Gandier. A dedicated and proud father, James could always be found cheering from the sidelines as his children participated in figure skating, hockey, football, basketball, baseball, and lacrosse. He especially treasured coaching his daughter Abby’s lacrosse team to a provincial championship in 2018. A devoted Baltimore Ravens fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his team. James was a dedicated Vice-president of Hughes Intelligence where he touched the lives of many throughout the community.
His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, whether camping, swimming, or heading outdoors for their next adventure. He looked forward to the annual family reunion, where he cherished time with his cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family, making memories filled with laughter and love. James also shared a special bond with his cousin, Samanthaβthe “most favourite” cousin. He embraced life with a generous heart, a love of laughter, and a deep devotion to those he loved. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Palliative Care at Bluewater Health for their compassion and care during Jamesβ final days. Aquamation has taken place. A celebration of Jamesβs life will be held at the home of Denise Clarke, 787 Talfourd St., Sarnia, on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Ronald McDonald House or Palliative Care (cheques only at the funeral home, please).
