GATT, Anthony Gatt

The Gatt family sadly announce the passing of Anthony Gatt at Crescent Park Lodge in Fort Erie on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at the age of 78 years. Tony was predeceased by his parents Frank and Rita Gatt, his brother and sister-in-law Charlie and Gail. He is survived by his brothers and sister George and Julia, Paul and the late Carol, Victor and Jackie, Mary and the late Alex, Larry and Joan, Joe and Kim, David and Rhonda, John and Dana. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Tony was a long-time employee at A&P in Port Colborne and St. Catharines and brought many a smile to staff and customers with his kindness and jokes. He never forgot a punch line! He was a motorcycle enthusiast back in the day. He played hockey with the Claypit Clippers and slow pitch with Hebb Lock’s team. Between all the Gatt’s and the Bilodeau’s they had a full roster, with a few friends topping off the team. Tony was a member of the Port Colborne Sea Cadets. He enjoyed and excelled in gymnastics at high school.

We would like to thank Dr. Spencer and the staff at Crescent Park Lodge for their care and compassion.

Rest in Peace Tony!
