GEDCKE, Sharron Gedcke

Passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Hospice – Chapman House on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Born in Hamilton, Ontario on April 25, 1942, Ann Sharron Gedcke (nee Burrage) of Owen Sound, was in her 84th year.

Beloved wife of Alvin Gedcke for 53 years. Loving mother of Owen Gedcke of Owen Sound, the late Robert Gedcke and step-mother of Lee Ann Pierce (Donald Robert) of Windsor. Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Samantha, James (Carlie), Melanie (Dylan), Brandon (Savannah) and Rebecca and their families. Much loved sister-in-law of Austin Gedcke (Marie), Bonnie Carter, and the late Carole Adam (Wallace). Dear aunt of Randy Jones, Rhonda Bradshaw, Darryl Jones, Joni Jones, Krista Henry (Darren), Tim Gedcke (Catherine), Josh Carter (Fawn), Alisha Porter (Matt), Carolyn Cordick (Jason), Joel Carter and the late Stephen Gedcke (Pam Keen) and their families. Sharron will also be missed by many friends.

Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Winnifred Burrage, her step-mother Verna Burrage, her parents-in-law James and Thelma Gedcke, and by her sisters Marion Jones (Stan) and Barbara Westall.

In keeping with Sharron’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
