George Wilton Wardell passed away on October 1, 2026, in his 83rd year, surrounded by family. Originally from Port Dover, he served as a police officer in Paris for 33 years and is remembered by his children Glenn and Lynn, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family and longtime friends. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Elayne, who died in September 2026.
George enjoyed motorcycles, travel, fishing, boating, repairing cars and time at the family cottage. Cremation has taken place, and a joint celebration of life for George and Elayne will be announced later. Memorial donations may be made to Myeloma Canada, Diabetes Canada or the Alzheimer Society Brant.
