It is with very heavy hearts we announce the passing of Stephen James Gilroy.
Steve was the proud father of Stephanie Jordan (Bryce) and Lindsay Shayda (Aaron) and the best Papa to Quintyn, Zachary, and Tyler.
He is the son of Helen and the late George Gilroy. Brother to Phil, Norm and the late Doug Gilroy.
Steve will be remembered by his nieces, nephew, cousins, and many friends.
Steve was an avid golfer and sports fan (for any team but the Leafs). You would always find him supporting his grandsons in whichever sport they were playing.
He was a longtime employee at Bathe & McLellan Building Materials.
We will miss you deeply Dad/Papa. You will forever be in our hearts and live on in our memories.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 13, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at De Stefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Dr. Oshawa.
The family will hold a private interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honour of his memory.
