With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mr. Domenic Antonio Di Girolamo at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Lina Di Girolamo (née Lapenna), cherished father, nonno, and bis nonno, Domenic passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
He is lovingly remembered by his children Carmela (Christopher), Pasquale “Pat” (Lucia), Larry (Manon), and Maddalena (late Jean-Pierre); grandchildren Matthew, Daniel, Jennifer, Jeff, Lina, Gaston (Marion), Gino (Samantha), Gitano, Gaetan, Domenic, Nicolina, Roman, Brittany (Matthew), and Nicholas; and great-grandchildren Carter, Ellie, Connor, Olivia, Norah, Dylan, Calla, Luca, Hailee, and Charlee.
Born in Italy, Domenic immigrated to Canada in 1951, where he built a life in Cornwall with his beloved wife of 68 years. He founded a successful plaster and drywall business and was deeply proud of his work and legacy. His wisdom, love, and strength will live on in the many lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 1–4 p.m. at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club, 6740 Sutherland Ave, Cornwall. Donations may be made in Domenic’s honour to Carefor Hospice Cornwall.
