GOMBITA, Margaret Gombita

Peacefully, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, Margaret Gombita (nee Goffa) passed away.

Beloved wife of the late George Gombita, Margaret was a devoted and loving mother to Teresa Gombita, Richard Gombita, and Valerie MacKenzie. She will be sadly missed by her cherished grandchildren, Jenna and Juliana as well as her nieces and nephews of the Gombita and Estok families and her CWL sisters.

Margaret was deeply devoted to her family, friends, and community. A faithful parishioner of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, she was an active member of the Catholic Women’s League, where she also served as the Bazaar and Convention coordinator. Her dedication to service extended through her volunteer work with Dorothy Ley Hospice and her earlier years as a “Pink Lady” volunteer at Queensway General Hospital.

Margaret gave more to her community than most will ever realize, and her kindness, generosity, and spirit of service will be remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00–5:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
