Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday October 14, 2025 at the age of 75. She was born and raised in Norris Arm, NL on June 22, 1950.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Anthony Power, her surviving siblings and extended family members; Loretta (Ernie) Cullimore, Blanch Goodyear, Edward Goodyear, Linda Goodyear, Donald Goodyear, Maureen Goodyear (Dale) and Ronald Goodyear (Jules). She will also be missed dearly by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thank you to Dr. Coutts, the Bayshore Home Health Care Team the staff at Timmins and District Hospital for taking special care of her.
At Melba’s request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Little Britain, Ontario. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Oncology Department would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre.
