Family remembrance
Born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, on December 19, 1955, Gordon was raised in the Hampden area. At 21, he met Beverly, his best friend and the love of his life. During 47 years of marriage, they built a loving home for their daughters, Amanda and Joanne.
Gordon is lovingly remembered by Beverly; Amanda and Joanne; son-in-law Tyson; and grandsons Dakota, Jacob and Carter, who were a great source of pride. He will also be missed by his companion Abby.
He leaves his sisters May (Bill), Pat (Eric), Lorraine and Katie (John); brothers Allan, Bruce (Dorris) and Todd; sisters-in-law Eileen, Daphne, Minnie (Rex), Lillian (Bryant), Tina and Marge; brothers-in-law Doug and Tony (Kim); many nieces and nephews, including his special nephews Chris and Brett; and a wide circle of friends.
Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Fredrick; parents-in-law Jean and Eli; sister Ruby; brother Eric; sisters-in-law Neta and Phyllis; and brothers-in-law Seymour, Whit, Eugene, Wood and Alex.
A life centred on family
Family meant everything to Gordon. Those who knew him remember his cheerful nature, patience, kind heart and readiness to support the people around him. He worked with pride and approached life with warmth and humour.
Arrangements
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Gordon’s life will be held at a later date in Deer Lake, Newfoundland and Labrador, where he will also be laid to rest. Arrangements are entrusted to Tranquility Burial & Cremation Services.
