GOVIER, Donna Govier

Passed away at Brightshores Health System Owen Sound on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Born in Chesley, Ontario, on March 1, 1955, Donna Marie Govier (nee Swartz) of Owen Sound, was in her 72nd year.

Beloved daughter of Irene Swartz. Loving mother of Jason Govier and Tanya Govier. Dear sister of Darlene Ferguson (Hugh), Grant Swartz (Mary) and Gary Swartz. Donna will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Predeceased by her dad Norman, and by her brother Carmen Swartz.

Donna Govier loved spending time with her family and the long walks with Tanya and her very special Sundays with Jason. She enjoyed her Timmy’s coffee and a good London Fog (the drink).

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, 190 1st Street SW in Owen Sound, on July 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Heather McCarrel officiating.  Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
