It is with profound sadness that the family of Giuseppe Greco announces his peaceful passing on June 24, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on February 13, 1946, in Maierato, Vibo Valentia, Italy, Giuseppe built a life rooted in love, dedication, and family. He was the beloved husband of Rosa, his devoted partner in life for 55 years. Together, they raised their cherished daughter, Giovanna, who was a constant source of pride and joy.

Giuseppe is predeceased by his dear brother Domenico (Rosa) and is survived by his brother Nicola (Giuseppina), who continues to carry on the family’s enduring legacy. Though many of his in-laws are abroad, in Canada he is lovingly remembered by Carmelo (Lucrezia) Ionadi and Concetta (the late Francesco Marrella).

His presence will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, and their families, who will forever treasure his kindness, humour and unwavering love.

Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–9 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. Giuseppe will be laid to rest at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave. W.).

In memory of Giuseppe, the family kindly requests that donations be made to either Humber River Hospital Foundation or SickKids Hospital Foundation.

Giuseppe will be remembered for his strength, humility, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
