GREEN, Lorie Green
May 16, 1960 - April 25, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorie Green on April 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family at Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
Beloved wife of Tim Green, and treasured mother of Tara-Lee (Anthony Miller), Samantha (Josh Elik), and Stephanie (Jordan Coombs). Cherished Meemaw to Cooper and Riley Miller, and Hunter and Freya Elik.
Dear sister of the late Donna Campbell (predeceased) and William (Billy) Campbell. Loving daughter of the late William Campbell (Joan); beloved daughter and step daughter of Myrna Gale (Pat). Cherished sister-in-law to Barry Green (predeceased) (Pat), Tammy Brown (Kevin), Brad Green (Cindy), and Darren Gethons (Andrea). She will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
Lorie will be remembered as a kind and generous woman who gave so much of herself to her family and community. While raising her daughters, she was a constant presence—volunteering in breakfast and reading programs, helping with school trips, and always stepping up wherever she was needed.
She was the heart of her home, caring for her husband with a steady and selfless love that never wavered. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She treasured time spent with them—teaching them to cook, making jam, and creating special moments like Hunter’s favourite “monster bites.” She shared a unique bond with each of them, whether doing Riley and Freya’s hair or spending one-on-one time with Cooper. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved “grand-furbabies,” loving them just as deeply.
Known for her love of conversation and storytelling, Lorie had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her loyal companion Chico was never far from her side, and we take comfort in imagining her reunited with her beloved dog, Shadow.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and selflessness that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the incredible staff at Nipissing Serenity Hospice for the care, kindness, and dignity shown to Lorie and her family.
In honour of Lorie’s love for her family and her community, donations may be made to Nipissing Serenity Hospice to help continue providing comfort, care, and meaningful moments to those facing life’s most difficult times.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 16th, her birthday, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Sundridge Legion. We invite family and friends to come together in a relaxed setting to share memories, express our gratitude, and celebrate the love Lorie brought into all of our lives.
