GREENWOOD, Carol Greenwood

Passed away peacefully at Huron Hospice on Saturday, February 28, 2026. She was in her 82 year. Dancing again with her beloved husband Paul (2016). Loving mother of Lauri Greenwood-Ladd, Dale Greenwood (Kristy), and Darryl Greenwood. Proud Grandmother of Cameron Greenwood (Katelynn), Shauna Greenwood (Joe), Sydney Ladd, and Jessica Ladd. “GGG” to grandchildren Ryder, Phoenix, Nova, Axel, Brooks and Millie. Aunt to several nieces and nephews. Much loved mommy to her fur baby Tigger. Best friend of Faye Elliott. Predeceased by her daughter in law Jo-Ann Raidt, brother George Edwards, and parents Evelyn Staubus and Gordon Edwards. Carol and Paul always had an assortment of cats & dogs, and had a beautiful fish pond they spent many hours enjoying. Carol had a beautiful soprano singing voice and loved to play piano. Mom loved cruising in her Chevy Monte Carlo. She excelled at knitting, crocheting, sewing, scrapbooking, family history and baking. You knew she cared about you when you received a pair of knitted socks, slippers, a scrapbook page, or a yummy tin of her Christmas baking. She loved Christmas. Momma Whoop was famous for her epic Christmas Carolling parties. Carol found so much comfort in her musical visits at hospice from Dana Prouse, Maureen Barendregt, Finola MacGuinty, and the Solace Singers. Carol was happiest in her gardens and was an active member of the Clinton Horticultural Society. Gratitude to Dr. Laba and Dr. Kuruvilla at LHSC Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre, Dr. Percival, and Clinton Public Hospital for their care. The family remains forever grateful for Huron Hospice and to the nurses for their care and sensitivity. Cremation has taken place. Interment at a future date.
